Arrangements For The Haj Camp Would Be Better Than The Last Year: Ahmadullah

Hyderabad, Sept 10 (INN): The Coordination Meeting of all the departments and agencies involved in the Haj affairs was held today at the Haj House Nampally to finalise the arrangements for the Haj Camp 2013.

Minister for Minorities Welfare, Wakf and Urdu Academy Mohammed Ahmadullah presided over the meeting and said that last year Hyderabad Embarkation Camp was adjudged as the Best one in the entire country and expressed confidence and hope that the arrangements for the Haj Camp would be better than the last year, for which he sought strong coordination and cooperation among all the departments. He said that service to the Haj pilgrims would bring cheer and happiness and prosperity in the lives of those who rendered selfless service.

25 Chartered Haj Flights of the Saudi Arabian Airlines will carry 7800 Haj pilgrims from the State to Jeddah, from where they will proceed to Makkah. GMR Rajiv Gandhi International Airport will make arrangements for Haj Operations and the Minister for Minorities Welfare along with officials will visit the Haj Camp and the Haj Terminal on 21st September to review the arrangements at both the places. Customs and Immigration facilitation counters will be set up the Haj Camp. The Police Departments will make all necessary bandobast at the Haj House and surrounding areas. Tight security arrangements will be made to monitor law and order and ensure smooth traffic flow and none will be allowed insdie the Haj House without valid passes during the Camp period.

The Bombay Mercantile Bank will set up sufficient number of counters to issue 2100 Saudi Riyals to each pilgrim just before their departure from the Haj Camp. Princess Esra Hospital Charminar, Institute of Preventive Medicine and Department of Medical & Health will make arrangements for inoculation of three types of vaccinations to the pilgrims. AP-Transco, GHMC, HMWS&SB and BSNL promised to provide uninterrupted services from their respectivedepartments. APSRTC officials promised to supplyclean and new buses for taking Hajis from Haj House to the Airport.

Higher officials from 17 Central and State Government Departments and other agencies participated in the meeting which finalized the arrangements. During the meeting it was decided that the pilgrims should reach the Haj Camp 10 hours early and the vehicle carrying them should leave the Haj Camp five hours before the departure time.

Ahmed Nadeem IAS Secretary Minorities Welfare Department said that all arrangements would be made for smooth Haj Operations and it would be ensured that no pilgrim face any difficulty.

Abdul Haque Member Haj Committee of India & Coordinater for Hyderabad Embarkation Point who specially came for the meeting informed that the Haj Committee of India has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of Haj Operations all over India and expressed hope that Hyderabad Embarkation Point would provide all facilities to the pilgrims.
