Jayalalitha Shows her 'Viswaroopam'

Ulaganayagan Kamal Hasan may have aspired to show his Viswaroopam to entire world and earn laurels. He even planned to show the film in a grand manner revolutionalising the film industry by screening on DTH even before theatrical release of the film.

However TN CM Jayalalitha nurtured another plans altogether. After so many controversies over DTH and Theatrical releases, even before the film’s release TN Govt banned Viswaroopam for 15 days following protests from muslim organisations.

Kamal got temporary relief when HC viewed the film and lifted ban yesterday but Jaya decided to show her Viswaroopam to Kamal with her Govt deciding to appeal against HC interim order. HC on some conditions permitted release of the film after Kamal in emotional outburst agreed to delete some scenes. However when petrol bombs were pelted in some theaters, HC banned the film till 6th of Feb.

Now Kamal decided to approach Supreme Court. It has to be seen what SC has in store for Kamal. Moral of the story is one can not face the wrath of Jayalalitha what ever may be his/her stature. Ask former CM Karunanidhi, Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi. Time for Kamal to ponder what he did that hurt Jayalalitha in such a manner that he is getting affected by Jaya’s Viswaroopam.

Kamal Hasan who agreed to do away with some contentious scenes from Viswaroopam to reach amicable solution with the concerned parties, was in for a shock when Madras High Court set aside a single judge order staying the government’s prohibitory orders on film ‘Vishwaroopam’. As a result, theatres cannot screen the film anywhere in Tamil Nadu.

Kamal earlier in a press conference attended by even Congress leader J M Haroon, lyricist Vairamuthu, and several film personalities said “My Muslim family has reached out to me. They came and told me which portions they want removed, they told me the scenes they wanted cut and the words of Quran they wanted removed. They told me which are the scenes that would offend and could be removed,”.

However even that did not allow the smooth release of the film as reports of petrol bombs being hurled at two theaters screening Viswaroopam, prompted HC to set aside single judge order lifting ban on the film on Tuesday. Earlier HC told Kamal “You have only two options before you. Either approach the district collectors and appeal against their prohibitory orders or wait for the single judge to pass final orders in the matter”.

Now Kamal decided to knock the doors of SC with his senior counsel PS.Rman stating Kamal will approach SC the moment copy of order.

Jaya is misusing the chance she got. She is making the majority Hindu hate Muslims more, this movie has nothing to do with indisn Muslims. But every Hindu neighbor will hate Muslims and action of the chief minister is not helping Muslim brothers but harming them. Hopefully the Muslim leaders can see how such actions are going to hurt the harmony In day to day life and do the right thing

The ban of a film in Tamilnadu even after approval in US, may show that Tamilnadu is providing assylum to international terrorism.
